Soooo...I guess you must be wondering why in the world I created this blog called Diary of a Church Girl...I mean either you're curious about that or you just wanted to see what this page would say, right?! Ha-ha. Or maybe you have another reason...such as...you're just "exploring" the site. Whatever your reason...it's FINE!
As a young woman who's grown up in and around the church my ENTIRE life, I know exactly what it's like to be in church for a long, Pentecostal service. Whether that thang be a COGIC, Holiness, Apostolic, or WHATEVER kinda service. I've been to other denominations' services as well including (but not limited to) non-denominational, predominantly white or black Baptist churches, university worship services, College Nights, "Youth Explosions", and the like. I also know what it is like to have a relationship with the Lord that I really desire to have govern my lifestyle so that God alone is exalted and made GREAT!
I began blogging to share my thoughts and to share events, or happenings, from my life (on topics ranging from what happened in a church service to how something so familiar as a paycheck can be related to the Gospel) and to provide sometimes humorous, inspirational, and thought-provoking posts that will ultimately and always point you to Christ.
So, enjoy the site! And post comments to let me know what you think!
Thanks,
U.M.
